ACTIVE DEMAND.
LONDON BUTTER MARKET. FIRM AFTER SLIGHT EASING. INCREASE IN DELIVERIES.
Consequent on an active demand the London butter market was firm, according to the New Zealand Dairy Board's report at the close of business last week. Prices had eased earlier from the previous week's advanced level, but deliveries had increased in the case of New Zealand butter and the quantity in store had been reduced.
By arrangement with the Primary Products Marketing Department the following information is supplied:—
Australian.—Salted, 119/ to 120/; unsalted, 121/. Deliveries, 2032 tons; in store, 6184 tons. . _ Argentine: UnsalW, 112/ to 116/. Danish: 123/ f.0.b., 144/ to 145/ spot. Dutch: Unsalted, 123/. Lithuanian: Unsalted, 125/. Market firm, after active demand. Retail prices unchanged. New Zealand retail price, 1/3. Danish retail price, 1/5.
