PSYCHIC WORK.
LECTURER'S VISIT. Lady Willoughbv Carey, who passed through Auckland yesterday in the Mariposa, gave a most interesting talk at the Quest Club to a large gathering of members and friends, on her psychic work and experiences. She has been lecturing in Sydney for some weeks past from the radio and platform, and expects to return to Australia and Xew Zealand later in the year. Lady Carey comes from an important spiritualist centre in London —the White Eagle Lodge —and claims to have had natural clairvoyant powers from childhood. Having lived for many years in India, Lady Carey briefly touched on the interesting personality of Mahatma (iandhi. his remarkable influence on the people of India, and her personal association and study with him that had so influenced#'her outlook on life. Many supernormal feats performed by Yogis were related and vouched for as an eye-witness of the proceedings, and in lighter vein a number of unusual happenings were related concerning haunted houses and historical castles that had been the speaker's experience.
