Platinum Wedding.
NAPIER RESIDENTS. 0 MR. AND MRS. T. J. EXETER. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NAPIER, this day. Sixty-five years of married life will be completed to-morrow by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas John Exeter, who will celebrate their platinum wedding in the company of a large number of descendants and other relatives. Despite their age — Mr. Exeter is 86 and his wife H4—both still remember vividly the voyage of 120 days from London to Xapier. which was their honeymoon trip in 1874. They have lived at Xapier ever since their arrival in New Zealand and have been in the same street for more than 60 years. Both are still remarkably alert. Mr. Exeter is notably proud of the fact that he can still read newspapers without glasses. Their family and descendants comprise seven children, 29 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, most of I whom will attend the celebration tomorrow.
