BOWLERS ENTERTAINED
QUEENSLAND VISITORS. SOCIAL EVENING HELD. The Queensland lwiwiern who have been touring the Dominion during the past four weeks, accompanied by tlie ladies of the party, were entertained at the Carlton Howling Club's pavilion bv the Auckland Centre on Saturday evening. On arrival they were welcomed by the vice-president of the centre. Mr. K. W. lnder, and Mrs. Inder. Addresses were given by Mr. T. Wetherilt and Mr. Hendry Luke, to which Messrs. R. J. Morris and F. C. Ke r replied on behalf of the Queensland."!-*. An attractive programme was arranged by Mr. S. Coldicutt. comprising violin solos by Miss L. Blov. songs by Mi** Fatti Nchnackonberg, Miss Verner Wishart. Mr. Fr-'d Baker and Mr. (Jordon Fagan, and piano-accordion duets by Messrs. Baker and Sutherland. Humour was provided by Mr. Alan McF.lwain. and magic by Mr. R. H. (■race. Mr. Alaa Pow was the accompanist.
