Mr. R. B. Walker, member of the Aimv South Wales Legislative Assembly, -who recently visited New Zealand, speaking at a meeting of citrus growers, said that Mr. Savage had told him that, if Australia would show the slightest willingness to discuss the embargo on New Zealand potatoes, off would come New Zea.land s restriction on New South Wales citrus fruit.

Mr. Walker, on liis return to Australia on December 2t>. emphasised that Australia had adopted an unreasonable attitude in regard to the embargo 011 New Zealand potatoes, and said how the trouble could be overcome and the extent to which Mr. Savage was prepared to rociprocn tc with rv<in vd to the embargo in the Dominion on New South Wales citrus fruits.
