WEATHER FORECAST.
FOB CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government . Meteorologist Issued to the " Auckland Star» this afternoon the following. special weather forecast for the Auckland provinoe to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Southerly winds, strong at first in some exposed positions, but decreasing and otherwise light to moderate. Weather cloudy, v/ith mist or fog in places and some scattered drizzling rain, but gradually improving. Temperatures moderate. Seas rather rough at first on the west coast, otherwise moderate. The recent depression is passing away eastward, and an anti-cyclone covers eastern Australia and the western Tasman Sea. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following' report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was ; received from Tiritiri Island at noon • to-day:— Wind, south, fresh; sea, moderate: weather, cloudy and hazy; visibility, fair; barometer, rising.
