RED CROSS SERVICE.
At St. Matthew's Church yesterday the evening gathering took the form of a special Red Cross service. The Rev. Canon George Coats, who was the preacher, took for his text, "Lo, I am among you a« one that servetli." He likened it to the Red Cross motto, "I Serve." In affording relief and assistance to the poor and suffering, the society followed the example of the Master. he said. "The society is non-political, nonsectarian. international, is imbued bv the love of man, and engaged in a work of mercy founded on the teachings of the Master," he added.
