GAMING RAIDS.
1 FINES IN WELLINGTON. (By Telegraph.—Tress Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. Four Chinese and five Europeans arrested in gaming raid* on Saturday evening appeared in the' Magistrate's Court to-day. Ah Wong (~>4), a gardener, pleaded guilty to Jiising pre- , mines in Vivian Street, of which he was the occupier, as a common gaming house. Ifc was fined £30. Michael Joseph Cain (<»3), labourer, and Alfred Thomas Milner (3~>), painter, were each lined £2 for being on the premises. Willie Yee, a laundryman, charged with using promise* in Taranaki Street as a common gaming house, was lined £i) 0. Chin Lee Lim (41), a laundryman, Giovcnni C'al viui, a waterside worker, Henry James McKenzie (51), a cook. Tse Ku Fay (44), a fruiterer, and John Tito (37), a seaman, were each fined £2 for being on the premises.
