GIFTS TO CHARITY.
UNDER FARMER'S WILL. •Under the will of the late Mr. Charles Lafferty, who died in Auckland on December 7, the Public Trustee is appointed executor and trustee. The will provides for the following charitable gifts:— .
One hundred pounds to the Catholic Church, Roes, Westland, £100 to the inmates of the Old Men's Home at Hokitika, Westland, £50 to Dij. BarnardoV Homes, £50 to the Salvation Army in; New Zealand, £50 to the Roman' Catholic Convent at Otahuhu.
Mr. Lafferty, who was an old resident of Roes, came to Otahuhu about 10 years ago. He -was farming on the West Coast for many years, and was a well-known identity there.
