AUCKLAND MILK PRICES.

I was astounded on reading the Milk Council report and the attitude taken by Mr. Goldstine regarding the raising of milk prices. What right or what experience has he to fix the price for the poor cow slave who lias been at work four and five hours before him, and will probably have to work as much again when he finishes at night? There has been a decided shortage of milk, and the time is long overdue for a rise in the price. Farmers are entitled to prices allowing them the same conditions as other workers. If the farmers went on strike the price for a commodity which is obtained only by hard, continuous work would rise, and quickly, too. Farmers should refuse to be the "goats" am lonser.
