PRESENTATIONS.
A representative gathering of the staff of the Public Works Department at Auckland farewelled Mr. S. L. Langridge prior to his transfer to the head office of the Department in Wellington. Mr. F. S. Dyson, in making a presentation on behalf of the staff, referred to the high esteem in which Mr. Langridge was held. He had been connected with the Auckland district for over 25 years. Messrs. T. Rabone, F. F. Alfrey, G. McGregor and Archer also referred to the cordial relations which had existed between Mr. Langridge and their branches of the Department. A letter was received from Mr. J. D. Stack, District Chief Clerk, who is absent on leave, in which he congratulated Mr. Langridge and expressed regret at the latter's departure. Mr. Bartlett conveyed best wishes and congratulations from the Hamilton, Paecoa, Pokeno and Helensville offices.
