Canadian Member's Speech In House of Commons. WAGES, HOURS, FARM PRICES. (Received 1 p.m.) OTTAWA, January 19. In the House of Commons New Zealand was extolled as an example to Canada by Mr. M. J. Coldwell, a Commonwealth Federation member. Pensions, increased wages, shorter hours and guaranteed farm prices showed what a Government could do. Mr. Coldwell urged the admission into Canada of a stipulated number of Jewish refugees, declaring that New Zealand led in that direction also.
