Heavier Guns Are To Be Mounted. OFFICIAL EXPLANATION. (Received 2 p.m.) BERLIN", January 19. The 10.000-ton Sdydlitz was launched at Bremen. She is one of the two light cruisers on the 1936 programme. They were to have been armed with (tin guns, but it is now revealed that they will be equipped with Sin guns, mounted in four twin turrets. This will bring them into the heavy cruiser class. # It is officially stated the alteration follows the talks with Britain in December.
