ROSS McKINNON, RUGBY LEAGUE STAR, MAY PLAY IN AUCKLAND.
Ross McKinnon, the Rugby League star of the last Australian team to tour Kngland, and who played in Auckland when that combination was on the way to Great Britain, may be seen in action at Carlaw Park this season. He is a centre-three-quarter and a fine goal kicker. McKinnon has entered into negotiations with the Manukau Club. At the moment there seems to be some prospect of the negotiations being euccessful. M&nukau already has a star centre in Rangi Chase and should McKinnon come to Auckland Chase would probably move up to what the English call "inside centre." McKinnon is a journalist by profession and did not play la«t season in Sydney owing to being stationed in the, country districts.
