The question of a railcnr (service hot wee n Auckland and Whangarei will hp discunaed to-right when the Minister of Railways, the Hon. ]>. (J. Sullivan, will visit Whangarei. Accompanied by the general manager of railways. Mr. °G. H. Mackley, and the Auckland district traffic manager, Mr. H. C. Couch. Mr. Sullivan visited Dargaville this afternoon. The official party travelled from Auckland to Waiotira by railcar this morning, and later drove to Dargaville by ear to inspect the proposed site for the new Dargaville railway station. To-night Mr. Sullivan will meet a , deputation from the Whangarei Chamber ! of Commerce and will discuss the , question of a railear eervice from Auckland. The railear will remain at Whangarei to-night and will leave for Auckland at 11.30 to-morrow morning, carrying the official party.
