ANNUAL PICNIC. The Mother*' Club of the Y.W.C.A. held it.* annual picnic on Thursday at Point Chevalier, A vitried sports programme had been arranged with the following results:— Skipping contest, Mrs. Trewhella 1, Mrs. Day 2) stepping a chain, Mrs. Sherley 1; running race, Mrs. Hay 1, Mrs. O. Clark 2; kissing the kitty (officer* and committee), Mrs. W. J. Edwards I, Mrs. Johnston 2; hopping race, Mrs. Hoy 1, Mrs. W. Manson 2; race for grandmas, Mrs. Lewis 1, Mrs. Edwards 2; ball game, Mrs. Orelp I, Mr*. Sims 2.
