NEARLY £4000 ASSURED.
Xew Zealand health camps for undernourished children are due to commence their beneficent activities, and the voluntary workers who carry them on will be encouraged by the public response to the. post office annual appeal through the medium of health stamps. In the week ended November 2.'?, the finance of health camps benefited from stamp sales and donations to the extent of £(1;>0 10/8 —a remarkable achievement for one week.
Ill'- financial results for the seven weeks since the opening of the campaign show how widespread will be the benefit to health camps, as receipts from stamp sales in each district are devoted to the deserving children in the same area. Over thrce-<|uarters of a million health stamps have been sold, with the result that the movement in aid of the children is already assured of £371-") Hi/1. This Mini falls considerably short of the total required to meet the cost of the maintenance of over 4000 children in health camps; but there are ample opportunities left for further public generosity through the easy medium of the "penny for postage, penny for health'' method.
