LAW CLERK'S DEATH.
KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR
Death from injuries, which included a fractured skull, received when knocked down by n motor car was the verdict returned by the city coroner, Mr. F. K. Hunt, to-day at an inquest into the death of Roy William Truman, who died In the Auckland Hospital 011 October Hi. Deceased was a law clerk, aged 23.
Evidence was given that about 8.50 p.m. on October 1<» Robert Entriean Sims, commercial traveller, was driving down Symonds Street. Rain was falling nt the time, and when about 200 yards below ("Jrafton Bridge the deceased, who apparently had started to cross the street, was struck by Sims' car. Sims did not see the deceased.
