SWIMMING.
NEWMARKET CLUB. THE FOUNDATION MEETING. A meeting, presided over by Mr. S. Donaldson. Mayor of Newmarket, wae hold at the Municipal Hall, Newmarket, last night for the purpose of forming a swimming club to serve the needs of a rapidly growing area. The conveners. Messrs. C. J. Blonifield and G. \V. Bell, were present to explain the objects of th» flub.
Mr. Bell said that although there may be. more spectacular meetings in future in connection with the activities of the club, cone would rank in importance with the foundation meeting of an organisation which promised to become one of the strongest clubs in the Dominion.
