"HEART NOT IN IT."
£20 FINE FOR BOOKMAKING. HAD GIVEN UP BUSINESS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. A fine of £20, in default a month's imprisonment, was imposed on Harold Rogers, aged 30, a labourer, by Mr. W. F. Stilwell, S.M., on a charge of bookmaking to yrhich he pleaded guilty. For accused, it was stated that he was not in a big way and was not in it, for he had given it up 'long before the detectives called on him."
