Storm Causes Mishap to Large Vessel. GALE RAGES IN ENGLAND. British Offioinl Wireless. RUGBY, November 27. Renewed jrales in the Knglish Channel caused delay in the departure of the train-ferry from Dover early on Friday morning, and in Plymouth the 1118-ton coastal steamer Jellicoe Rose was driven ashore. The searchlights of the aircraftcarrier Furious were turned on the ship as attempts were made to get a breeches buoy across to her. They succeeded after seven failures, and the crew of 13 was safely removed. In the West Country numbers of roads are impassable. is lying to a depth of several inches in Yorkshire.
