Famous Cartoonist's Mother Killed By Escaping Gas. FATHER LIES IN HOSPITAL. (Received 1.30 p.m.) LOS ANGELES, November 27. Mrs. Flora Disney, aged 70, mother of the famous cartoonist, Walt Disney, was found dead due to furnace gas in the home, which the cartoonist had given his parents as a golden wedding gift. Mr. Elias Disney, Walt Disney's father, is in hospital. He is expected to recover. The police blamed a faulty connection in the gas furnace, which wns left burning overnight.
