RATEPAYERS APPROVE. (From Our Correspondent.) TE AWAMUTU, Sunday. A poll of ratepayers yesterday on the proposal to raise £20,000 for improving the municipal water supply service did not occasion much interest, the result , lwing regarded as a forgone conclusion. The actual voting was:—For, 148; against, 14. i The scheme provides for laying a new I nine-inch pipe from Pirongia Mountain Ito the borough, alongside the existing I eight-inch line, and providing for reticu- * lation within the borough.
