GENEVA CONFERENCE.
INTERNATIONAL LABOUR. MR. P. M. BUTLER NOMINATED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. The Wellington Trades Council has nominated Mr. P. M. Butler to contest the ballot for the workers' representative at the International Labour Conference nt fJeneva next year. Six names were submitted to the i eeting. Messrs. F. P. Walsh. .T. Baxter, J. Moulton, E. Canham, P. M. Butler and .T. Roberts (Christcliurcli). Messrs. Walsh and Baxter withdrew. The executive of the Federation of Labour has called for a nominee from each of the 18 affiliated trades councils. After the nominations have been received, they are to be submitted to the trades councils, which will be asked to select one representative, who will become the workers' representative at the conference.
