VETERAN TRAVELLER.
An interesting visitor who passed through Auckland in the Niagara today was Mrs. P. E. Waters, of Suva. Mrs. Waters, who is 82, is returning home from her fifteenth trip to Australia and New Zealand. "Yea, I am still interested in travelling," she said, "but after this trip I expect it will be time for me to settle down. I have been away from home for seven months now." Mrs. Waters is well known in Suva for her good works. Several years ago she organised a campaign, which resulted in the provision of the Suva Memorial Hospital with radios, and she was also responsible for installing ears phones in the Suva Old Men's Cottage.
