COURT AWARD.
HOTEL CLERICAL WORKERS. Wages have been made pnvablc retrosftcrtively in accordance* with agreement of the parties in an award issued by the Court of Arbitration in the New Zealand (except Marlborough) licensed hotel clerical workers' dispute. Mr. Justice P. J. O'Regan said that the only matter referred to the Court wu the date of the coming into force of the award. Otherwise it embodied recommendations arrived at by the assessors in Conciliation Council. The new rate of wages came into force on September 2. The award will continue in force until March 31, 1940.
