It *is officially stated that Mr. Chamberlain visited the Duk(- and Duchess of Windsor while in Paris. The call was in response to the Duke's wish. A later message states that Mr. Chamberlain whs accompanied by Viscount Halifax, Foreign Secretary, when lie saw the Duke of Windsor at the Hotel Maurice. Ihe talk lasted 25 minutes. Renter ■tatcs that the Duchess was present. The Duke's entourage regard tlie Meeting as a prelude to the Duke of Windsor's early return. It is believed that he is insistent that the Duchess >*nk as Her Royal Highness.
