The contrast between wealth and poverty in the United State* was stressed by Professor Harlow, of America, in an addrese delivered at the Douglas Credit room* laet evening, under the auspices of the Young People's Combined League. He dealt ■ with the growth of socialistic thought in that country, atating that in hf» own conservative university a vote had been taJyn, and, out of 2000 students, SOO had voted lor Socialism. '
