AUCKLAND ASSOCIATION.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING.
PROVINCIAL SHOOT JANUARY 2.
At the annual general meeting of the Auckland Rifle Association the president, I iiptain H. Simmonds, M.C'., was in the chair.
The report and balance-sheet showed the finances of the association to be in a sound position, the association having bank balances amounting to £111.
It was resolved to hold the 1939 prize meeting on Monday. January 2, and also to adopt the same programme as for 1938. which was found to be popular among the last year's competition. There will, however. be a suitable gold medal awarded to the winner of the Auckland championship.
Details will soon be to hand of the centennial prize meeting, which will extend over two days in the middle of January, 1940.
The following executive officers were elected:—President. Captain H. Simmonds: deputy president. Mr. K. J. C. Reston: secretary and treasurer, Mr. -T. M. .Tessop; auditor, Sir. R. C. Russell: committee. Messrs. J. R. Draffin. ,T. M. Rennic. T. B lyan. IT. Collingwood. F. Bowes ami A. Harris: delegate to military nieeting, Mr. C. J. M. Clark.
