FOOTBALL DANCE.
CITY-PONSONBY CLUBS.
RUGBY LEAGUE VISITORS.
A succcssful combined ball was held by the City Rovers and Ponsonby Rugbv Leatme clubs at the Cabaret Metropole, when members of Eastern Suburbs team were guests. Messrs. George Hunt and R Francis, chairman of the City and Ponsonby Clubs respectively, expressed pleasure' at the large attendance. Mr. Rav Stelir, captain of the visiting team, spoke in appreciation of the hospitality. The ladies' committee in charge of arrangements is to l>e congratulated. The hostesses were:— Mesdames C. D. \ Ravnes, in black frold taffeta; ana Mrs. L. Lasher, black peorgette and sequins, and associated with them Meie. Mrs. J. L. O'Sullivan, floral georgette; Mrs! J- Hammond, black net and satin: Mrs. B. Davidson, suntan and gold cloque; Mrs. R. Carlaw, floral crepe de chine; Mrs. Campbell, suntan cloque: Mrs. Mann, beige lace; Miss (irant, black taffeta; Mrs. Skinner, suntan satin.
