A Recent Wedding.

ELLIOTT—DIXON.

Wearing a graceful gown of ivory embossed ripple satin, Joan, only daughter of Mrs. H. Dixon, and the late Mr. Dixon, of Westmero, Auckland, made a charming picture last Saturday, September 17, 011 the occasion of her marriage to William Clements, eldest son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W. Elliott, of Howe Street, Auckland.

Artistically shaded cyclamen, stock and Iceland poppies decorated the Methodist Church, Pitt Street, and made a becoming setting for the ceremony, which was officiated bv the Rev. E. T. Olds.

The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her uncle, Major Dixon, wore a frock fashioned on classical lines, the slim fitting skirt forming a deep train. The 6lceves were long and tight-fitting. Her long veil of tulle made a lovely head-piece and fell in billows ovep her shoulders to make a second train. She carried a beautiful bouquet of white roses, carnations and lachenalia.

Her attendants,' Miss Mary Pascoe and Miss Lily Elliott, wore dainty frocks of cyclamen and silver marquisette, which were full-skirted, and had long sleeves. Their wide-brimmed, matching hats had shallow crowns, made of small silver flowers, and they carried bouquets of toned cyclamen and stock. Mr. T. Ellison was best man, and the brother of the bride, Mr. N. Dixon, acted as groomsman, while the small brother of the bridegroom, Roy Elliott, was page boy and wore a black velvet suit, relieved with white satin collar and cuffs.

Mrs. Dixon, mother of the bride, received and welcomed the guests at the reception held in the Mount Eden Tea Kiosk. She wore a charming gown of clover matt crepe, and a navy hat trimmed with white flowers. Her bouquet was of matching flowers. Mrs. Nicholson, grandmother of the groom, chose a navy costume and carried daffodils, while Miss V. Elliott, sister of the groom, wore a grey caracul coat over a smart navy suit, with which she wore a becoming navy hat. Her bouquet was of red anemones.

Mrs. K. Rosser sang a solo at the church, while at the reception Miss Hume gave a pianoforte solo, and Mr. T. Ellison vocal items. The bride and groom left later by car for a torn- of the North Island.
