AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
OTAHTTKtT CLUB'S TEAR. MR. GREY MADE LIFE MEMBER. A successful season was reported at last evening's annual meeting of the Otahuhu Amateur Athletic Club, at which Mr. F. W. Grey, presided. There was a good attendance. Mr. L. E. Boyd, who relinquished the secretaryship on transfer to the Hutt railway workshops, was farewelled and a resolution was carried unanimously recording his very fine services. Mr. Grey, who was one of the foundation members of the club and who has occupied the office of president since the club's inception did not, on account of his increased duties in connection with another sport, seek re-election and was made a life member. The newly-elected president, Mr. Jim Clark, expressed regret at the lose of Mr. Grey's services and he was supported by several other members. Officers elected: —Patron, Mr. H. T. Clements; president, Mr. Jim Clark; vicepresidents, the same as last year; secretary, Mr. R. C. Turner; treasurer, Mr. F. Lister; auditor, Mr. R. F. W. Wood: delegates to Auckland Centre, Messrs. K. Horan and H. Trevena; executive, Messrs. J. Clark, C. Clark, J. Haslip. F. Lister, R. Turner, C. S. Jones, Chas. Jones, C. J. Pve, F. P. Arnold and C. Robson; club captain. Mr. H. Trevena; lady captain. Miss D. Mullins; delegates to South Suburban Association. Messrs. J. Clark and R. Turner; handicapper. Mr. F. P. Arnold; starter, Mr. C. Robson; Press steward, Mr. E. Banks.
The management committee derived to hold the weekly meetings on Tlnirsd i.v evenings and an early start k to be made with training.
