A NIPPY LEFT HALF Dan Jones represented both Wellington and Auckland at Soccer and took the field for New Zealand against Australia in 1922, China 1924 and Canada 1927. Before coming to this country he played for the Mediterranean Fleet and Brooklyn United, his form for the latter bringing forth an invitation to join West Ham United—declined, as he was soon bound for New Zealand.
