BREEDING COUNTS.
Grace McElwyn, like her dam, Jean McElwyn, was one of the best mares seen in secent years, but lack of size, as in every other sport, is a disadvantage I'i trotting. Grace McElwyn gave of her best when in R. B. Berry's cftre, and it has now been decided to retire her from the race track. She will probably be mated with the American stallion Sandydale. Grace McElwyn has a wealth of good breeding behind her. for she is by Jack Potts from Jean McElwyn, by Nelson Bingen—Miss Spear, by Peter the Great. Jean McElwyn, a great little race mare, died in 1932. but a great line will be carried on by her daughter. The Auckland owner. Mr. 1). R. Revell. should breed a crack pacer from Sandydale and Grace McElwyn.
