fJreat interest will be taken to-morrow in the appearance at Hutt Park, Wellington, of Aldershot in the Wellington Stakes. This promising son of Wrack and that fine American-bred mare Trix Pointer is likely to play a prominent part in the decision of the Xew Zealand Derby and other classic events; therefore, his appea ranee is awaited with interest. At the end of last season Aldershot won the Juvenile Stakes at Ashburton in impressive style, and just after that had to strike his colours to Bedrock in the Xew Zealand Sapling Stakes. He has done well since then and is sure to be a hot favourite, despite the fact that he should meet stout opposition, especially from Revision and Zingarri. The principal handicap of the day, the Bolßird Memorial, has attracted an acceptance of nine improving pacers, and the inclusion of the Takanini-traincd Bexley (Jirl is of moment to Auckland supporters of the light-harness sport. She has been working In good style and should give a good account of herself in both this event :ind the Wellington Handicap, with which the programme of eight races will be brought to a close.
