YEAR OF PROGRESS.

WORK OF ZENANA MISSION.

At the annual meeting of the Zenana Bible and Medical Mission held in the Bible Training Institute last night a year of encouraging progress was reported.

In presenting the annual report the secretary, Miss D. J. Dannefaerd, referred to the excellent work carried out by the miesion. "Two years ago," she said, "we took full responsibility for the evangelistic work in the three Punjab stations of Voltoha, Ferozepore and Kasur. We had no reserve fund and no assured income. We can now report that every need has been met and sufficient money has always been in band to enable our treasurer to remit to India the amount required a quarter in advance."

The report also stated that during the year meetings had been heir! in several centres. A total of 254 boxes had been out, from which £234 had been received. Miss Dannefaerd also referred to the excellent reports received of the work of Miss Sheila Andrew, a New Zealand worker in the mission field.

The treasurer, Mr. O. S. Wiles, reported that the total income for the year had been £2333. Reports from the missionaries were presented by Miss Hazel Fountain, the'organising secretary.

Addresses were given by the chairman of the executive, Mr. R. L. Stewart, the president of the Auckland ladies' committee. Mrs. Page, and by the Rev. Walter Barry, the latter giving a valedictory address in honour of Miss Elma Clark, of Hamilton, who has heeii accepted bv the mission for work in India. Mis.« Clark will leave by Maunganui for Sydney on Monday, en route to India.
