HOME SERVICE.
The monthly meeting of the Auckland Home Service was held in the Y.W.C.A. Mrs. J. T. F. Mitchell presided. The manager's report showed a marked increase in positions filled, which were of a varied nature and included daily helpers, companion helps, housekeepers, housemaid - waitresses, housemaids, and helpers undertaking general household duties. In both town and country there are homes (with children), offering good salaries, desperately needing helpers able to undertake plain cooking.
