TAXATION POLICY.
MR. MAZENGARB CRITICAL (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. \ddressing an election meeting, Mr. O C Mazengarb, National candidate for Wellington Suburbs, strongly criticised the Government's taxation policy, contrasting it with that of the Seddon re»lme. In the latter administration, he saTd humanitarian legislation was arranged, and the Boer War financed. for the trifling addition of 1/3 per head per annum in taxation, as against the progressive increase of over fifty tunes that amount while the present Government has been in office.
