HERR HITLER AND MR. CHAMBERLAIN
NEXT TALKS ON THURSDAY
(Received 1 p.m.)" LONDON, September 20. An official statement from Downing Street says that Mr. Chamberlain and Herr Hitler will meet at Godesberg on Thursday at 3 p.m. A Godesberg message states that Herr Hitler is at present at Munich. Accompanied by Herr von Ribbentrop and a large staff, he is expected at Cologne this morning, where he will await Mr. Chamberlain and accompany him to Godesberg, which is decorated with swastika flags and Union Jacks.
The programme for Mr. Chamberlain's visit includes a boat trip on the Rhine, on which it is proposed to hold conversations to. ensure secrecy. Police boats will patrol the river. A detachment of Gestapo (secret police) arrived from Berlin to guard Herr Hitler's hotel.
