The unemployment return for August 27, Including those on the register who are for health or other reasons unfit for employment, ehows a reduction of 17,100 when compared with the corresponding figure for August 2S last year. Compared with the position last month there is a decrease of 1775. For the fourweekly period the expenditure from the fund under the heading of promotion of employment, ae distinct from relief expenditure, ie estimated at £481,636.
