MAIDEN VOYAGE.
SUGAR COMPANY'S STEAMER.
TAMBIJA ARRIVES AT SUVA.

SUVA September 15.
The Colonial Sugar Refining Company's new steamer Tambua arrived in yu . va . on her maiden voyage from Britain, via Panama, under the command of Captain J. A. Wallis, for many years master of the Rona.
The Tambna was built by the Caledon Ship Building and Engineering Company, of Stannerjjrate, Dundee, and was launched on May 27. Her engines were installed by the North Eastern Marine Engineering Company of Wallsend-on-Tvne»
The new vessel i* a single screw coalburning steamer, and is fitted with the lateet Oertz rudder. She is a semitenker, provision being made for the carriage of 2288 tons of molaeses in tank*. and there ie a certain amount of refrigerated space. Her gross tonnage is 3500, and net tonnage 1951. There is accommodation for 12 passengers.
