MOTORIST'S EXPERIENCE. Defendant motorists charged with breaches of the traffic by-laws are more inclined to hand "bricks" than "bouquets" to traffic officials, and a letter to Mr. G. G. Chisholm, produced in the Magistrate's Court to-day, provided a refreshing change. The writer was a school inspector summoned for speeding on the Great South Road. He wrote: "Although it is not pleasant to be held up by a traffic inspector, I wish to express my appreciation of the courteous way in which this particular inspector carried out his duty. We have heard so much of the blustering manner of some traffic 'cops' on the road that I feel it my duty to state that in my particular case this thankless task was carried out in an admirable way."
