'MISS N.Z.' CONTEST
FINAL PHOTOGRAPHS.
PERSONAL APPEARANCES.
DATES FOR VOTING.
Interest is running high in the "Miss New Zealand" contest, and now that entries have closed, readers are concentrating on the selection of the finalists. During the last few months hundreds of photographs of the Dominion's most attractive girls have appeared in the pages of the "New Zealand Woman's Weekly," and readers are faced now with the big task of selecting the country's most worthy representative.
Details of the various theatres and tearooms at which the eight semi-final-ists are making personal appearances are set out in this week's issue, so that voters can have an opportunity of personally seeing the eight girls who have been selected in Series 11. This should make their choice a great deal easier as it is rather difficult to judge by photographs. Votes in this series should reach the office by September 2!). The last batch of photographs in Series 111. also appear in this week's issue, and. as the time between the sending in of votes and the appearance of the winners is limited, readers are asked not to delay in sending in their votes.
It is difficult to find anything quite original in the way of swim suits, but tlie problem can easily be. solved bv knitting one in the attractive new design that appears in this week's issue of the magazine. The story of Alice Faye'e rise to fame in the screen world is graphically told, and, in addition to three absorbing short stories, there is another exciting serial instalment.
