PAPATOETOE DISPLAY.
SPLENDID EXHIBITS
The Papatoetoe Horticultural Society held its spring show yesterday in the Papatoetoe Town Hall. There was a large attendance of the public. The hall presented a beautiful appearance. An excellent display of a model garden was arranged by Mrs. H. Peacocke, while a beantiful floral display on the stage was the work of Mr. R. Sedgefield. Special awards were made as follows:— Champion of Champions.—Mrs. J, E. Simms. Open Section. —Champion trumpet and champion non-trumpet: Mrs. Simms. Intermediate Section. — Champion trumpet: Mr. F. Dawe. Champion non : trumpet: Mr. H. Fuller. Points Prizes.—Open and amateur section (Pulleine Challenge Cup): Mrs. J. E. Simms. Intermediate section (Wethereden Challenge Cup): Mr. H. Fuller. Novice section (Anderson Challenge Cup): Mrs. F. McKenzie. Children's section (Sand M. Holes Memorial trophy): Mervyn Benjamin. Beet flower section, amateur iclau (Bridge Club trophy)i Mies Sattoa.
