Sir Alfred Ransom, National party candidate for Pahiatua, opened hie campaign at Waitahora when he made a vigorous attack upon the socialistic aims of the Government and adversely criticised the Social Security Act on the ground of the heavy taxation involved and the lack of public demand for such a far-reaching and expensive system. He wu accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
