COMMERCIAL TRAVELLERS.

PROGRESS IN AUCKLAND.

Members of the Auckland Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association from all parts of the province gathered at the Lewis Eady Hall last evening to commemorate "the silver jubilee of the United Association of New Zealand. Reference to the successful year experienced by the Auckland Association was made by the president, Mr. P. C. Muir, who said that the sum of £3000 had been expended on improvements to the clubhouse.

The public of Xew Zealand was well aware of the foresight, integrity and goodwill that had built the association into an organisation that was the envy of other institutions of New Zealand, said Air. W. B. Darlow, chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board. Outstanding in its activities was its work for various charities, for the returned soldiers and for the blind.

The president of the Xew Zealand Commercial Travellers and Warehousemen's Association, Mr. C. J. W. Taylor, said that the affiliation of the associations of the Dominion in one strong body with a common and worthy aim was notable in commerce or business.
