Death of Czech Hostage for Execution of Sudeten.

LONDON, September 19.
The German Charge d'Affaires has intimated that for every Sudeten executed after trial for his past and for murders of policemen at Sehwaderbaeh last week, a Czech hostage will be immediately shot, says the Prague correspondent of the "Daily Telegraph."
FOOD DEFENCE PLANS.
BRITISH SYSTEM IN A WAR,
(Received 12 noon.) LONDON, September 19. Sir Henry French, Director of the Food Defence Plans Department, in cooperation with 1.-.00 local food officers,
has created an organisation operable within 24 hours, under which wartime food distribution can be carried out by ordinary channels. The rationing will be on a national and not on a local basis.

Stock markets opened quietly, operators preferring to await events. Copper, oil and rubber shares were firmer, borne industrials were idle and gilt-edged fractionally easier. German bonds were mostly unchanged Tint Czech bonds were lower.

(ReceiveJ 12.30 p.m.) TRIESTE, September 19. Signor Mussolini paid a courtesy visit to the Yugoslavian frontier and exchanged friendly greetings with the Yugoslav regiment.
