STILL GROWING.
WAITEMATA POWER DEMAND.
"There ie a steady demand for power by new consumers," said the chairman, Mr. W. R. T. Leighton, at yesterday's meeting of the Waitemata Electric Power Board, when commenting on the satisfactory condition revealed in the engineer's report. In answer to an inquiry by Mr. E. Aldridge, he stated that the new connections were not replacements, but new business. It was also reported by the managersecretary, Mr. A. Main, that there had been no interference with the power system during Sunday's storm.
