WEATHER FORECAST. FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist Issued to the " Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far *outh as Hamilton, Tauranca and Kawhia:— Moderate to strong west to southwest winds, decreasing somewhat. Weather, mainly fair to fine and cool, bu 4 . some scattered showers still probable. Sees, rough on the west coast and moderate on the east coast. An anti-cyclone is moving across the north Tasman Sea on to northern New Zealand. Pressure is still relatively low in the south, where a slight secondary depression is passing. Barometers are falling again over southeastern Australia. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-west, strong; sea, moderate; weather, cloudy and misty, with passing rain squalls; visibility, poor; barometer, steady.
