LABOUR PARTY.
TAKAPUNA BRANCH. A most enjoyable evening was spent by supporters of the Takapuna branch at the Gas Company's rooms, the Strand, Takapuna. Cards and mah jong were played until midnight. The president, Mr. Head, introduced Mr. C. Bailey, who gave a brief speech. Among the ladies present were: Mesdames Anderson, Bailey, Cook, Coole, Dick, Daviee, Downie, Francis, Hale, Johnstcn, W. J. Lyon, Lockyer, Morris, Mayo, Palmer, Reeder, Robin, Robinson, Von Sturmer, Stone, Stanford, Warren, Wood and Misses Anderson, Clare, Head and Warren.
